Before Combining Multiple Active Serums

A routine does not become better simply by adding more active serums. Each MaryenB formula already combines ingredients. Start with one new formula and observe your response before considering a more complex routine.

Notice the overlap

  • Niacinamide is listed in all six formulas.
  • Tranexamic acid is listed in TNA5, NTZ20, and RNT.
  • ANC5 and ANC10 are separate azelaic acid formulas, not steps that must be layered.
  • TNA5 and VNC15 both list arbutin, at different stated amounts.

Applying separate products does not create a tested combined formula. Do not add their listed percentages together to describe a concentration on your skin or assume that overlapping ingredients produce better results.

No universal compatibility promise

This guide does not provide a tested layering matrix for MaryenB serums or guarantee that a combination will be comfortable. Avoid introducing several high-active formulas at once. If you already follow a routine you trust, change only one thing at a time.

Keep RNT precautions in place

RNT remains evening only, starting 2–3 nights per week, with broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning. Do not use it during pregnancy or nursing, or while planning pregnancy. Adding other products does not remove those precautions.

When to stop

Stop use if irritation occurs. Do not take persistent discomfort as a sign that you should increase use. For burning, strong redness, or severe irritation, pause active products rather than trying another serum.

Keep skin comfort first

Try it on a small area of skin before first use. Introduce one new serum at a time and keep the rest of your routine simple. Apply to clean, dry skin, then follow with a moisturizer. Use sunscreen during the daytime. Avoid contact with eyes. If your skin feels uncomfortable, stop using it. Do not use an active serum on irritated or compromised skin.
